A month of silence… where others might have backpacked their laptops, your truly chose to throw pixels to the wind and have a true month off, with a new digital camera as my only microchipped companion. (Okay, okay, there was a cellphone or two!)
The problem now, of course, is 400 mostly lovely pictures later… I mean, would a sane person normally take 400 photos? (Phil, you’re exempt from answering. I think we have the same shutterbug reflex!)
The joy of it will be to rediscover each one leisurely over the next few weeks, and I look forward to sharing them in a series of photo essays of the great South African Summer extravaganza.
