Now if you’re hoping that all will be revealed… think again! But read further and you will find out a few little interesting tit bits that will make what you see me wearing in May, a little more meaningful.
Up and coming New York designer, Swati Argade, is designing ‘the dress’. Consulting on a few occasions, we agreed on a couple of the core design principles. Swati, who you’ll also get to meet in person at on the day, procured the Chinese silks and jet setted off to … India, where the dress underwent its basic construction. Major inspirations? You’ll see some elements that reference my wide cultural heritage and the kind of simple, elegance that I’ve always admired in the work of designer, Narcisco Rodriguez.
But even better, is that Swati has developed something unique and stunning from these seeds… and I can’t wait to wear it!
