muslin_s.jpgThe fabulous designer, Swati Argade, came to our apartment to fit the muslin of “the dress.” For the uninitiatied, a muslin is an exact replica of a piece of clothing, made from muslin. The objective is to ensure that the article fits perfectly.

Tanya was wowed by the muslin. I looked wonderful! It fitted beautifully, except now adjustments had to be made to accommodate the 10 lb weight loss that happened as an aftereffect of the appendectomy. (And they said it was a “small, fingerlike projection ;0)

Swati got to pin, baste (stitch) and write instructions and markers all over the muslin to direct the work of the master cutters and stitchers who will work on the final creation.

I guess this will test my “patience is a virtue” virtue.
