Infants seem like they have the greatest task: learn to play and learn by playing. And we have the priviledge of faciliating their incredible voyage of discovery.


I’ve been meaning to share this video of Calvin versus the blocks. It’s amazing; he is so intense and focused and gets a thrill out of the action/reaction physics lesson. This was him two weeks ago.

From the frenetic activity you might think this second video is from the same period, but it’s not. It’s from this past week. Here the little guy is working on his eye-hand co-ordination, targeting toys for his personal batting practice and, just before I managed to locate the camera, actually holding on to the rings of a toy and pulling it! He is also elevating his kicking action literally to a whole new level — kicking faster, more accurately and lifting his legs higher.
