With all of our family a flight away — varying between 1.5- to 18-hours-long — it’s vitally important for us to help our little guy keep the faces and names of his family close by. Equally important, that he knows and feels surrounded by their care and love.
In addition to sharing stories about them regulalry, and letting him bear-handle our telephones trying to figure out how his Bobo shrunk so small as to fit into the receiver, we also put together a ‘wall of fame,’ a wall of family, that keeps him company by his crib.
Often on recent mornings one of us will go in to his room and find Calvin contentedly pointing his finger at one image or another, babbling softly. Here’s a video we captured of him doing just that this past weekend.
