Just the briefest of entries to celebrate what I’ve just awoken to discover on this New York Marathon morning…
Someone who I used to see training when I was living in South Africa, a most wonderful and humble man, Hendrik Ramaala, got second place by a mere one second, in the New York City Marathon.
Would that he had pipped Kenyan Paul Tergat at the finish line, but what a time! 2:09:31.
Three cheers for Hendrik, who, in case you didn’t know, was the defending champion from last year!!!
