It’s a cliche, but there are some experiences afterwhich resuccitation is required. This is one of them: stand on a lonely deck with two other optimistic souls, all dripping moisture as the ocean liner you’re on inches its way through another¬†hour of fog and mist. Then in an instant, the fog lifts and this is what you see.
