It’s a cliche, but there are some experiences afterwhich resuccitation is required. This is one of them: stand on a lonely deck with two other optimistic souls, all dripping moisture as the ocean liner you’re on inches its way through another hour of fog and mist. Then in an instant, the fog lifts and this is what you see.
