One of the decisions we took while on site was to make use of this lovely limestone. While some will be used for fill, it will also be used to create rough steps, to create a pillar to house our meter (electricity and water) and postbox, and to build mini-pillars for a boundary along the road.

And here’s the view from the front, with the bay behind. This elevation promises killer views, and also explains why, with that drop, we decided to double the width of the bedroom decks.
