There is progress aplenty on Albatros Street, as you can see here. These latest views come courtesy of our friend GK, and certainly warm our hearts and thoughts as we freeze in the Big Apple. Limestone from the cellar and foundation excavation is set aside for later use — outside stairs, pillar and a boundary
One of the decisions we took while on site was to make use of this lovely limestone. While some will be used for fill, it will also be used to create rough steps, to create a pillar to house our meter (electricity and water) and postbox, and to build mini-pillars for a boundary along the road.
We’ve no idea how GK elevated himself to take this amazing bird’s eye view! From this outstanding view, you can see two team members (left) standing on the concrete ground floor
The people are standing on the ground floor!
And here’s the view from the front, with the bay behind. This elevation promises killer views, and also explains why, with that drop, we decided to double the width of the bedroom decks.
